Rubiana Brownell is a professional surfer from Costa Rica, born on March 7, 2003. She began surfing at the age of 12 and quickly stood out on both the local and international surfing scenes.
In 2018, at just 15 years old, she won three categories in the Costa Rican National Surfing Championship: Womenβs, Junior Womenβs, and Girlsβ. This made her the youngest surfer in the country to win three different titles in the same year.
In 2022, Rubiana finished second in the North American regional rankings of the World Surf League (WSL) Junior Tour, earning her a spot in the 2023 WSL Junior World Championship.
Currently, Rubiana competes in the WSL Qualifying Series (QS) and continues to represent Costa Rica in international surfing competitions.
In addition to her surfing career, Rubiana runs a YouTube channel where she shares her experiences in the world of surfing, traveling, and her personal hobbies.
