Review of B0CWHCJ3ZD - LISS 'Living in Sunshine Surf' Bamboo Wax Box:I'm not a surfer but when I saw the pictures of this box in the listing I was thinking it might just be something special. And it is...Look at the complex and beautiful lap joints! Masterfully done!Made with the equivalent of bamboo plywood with these lap joints make it not only beautiful, but very strong. A real work of craftsmanship.I can imagine that it suits it's purpose of a surfer's wax box well, but I will use it to hold small personal treasures in grand style.

You can only fit one bar of wax.The insulation is fine, but it's just a bamboo box with a little bit of silver plastic insulation.The sliding door feature doesn't really allow you to use it has an actual wax comb because the wax will get gunked up on the ridges, pretty easily then you can't slide it in anymore. And the wax comb itself is pretty thick, but it still works if you want it to. I think for the price, you can get something that fits more than one bar of wax. Maybe some sort of insulated bag instead, because a hard bamboo box can accidentally ding your things up, especially with the sharp corners, if you're just tossing it in your car or trunk

Cool concept, however, the lid doesn’t really stay secure, which doesn’t really suit the fact that I keep the wax in the back of my truck. Will continue to use it but only for the leftover pieces that I need to keep together.

Works much better than the plastic boxes with the flimsy lids that always tear off. Wax fits better too, and the insulation really does keep it from melting.

I didn't use to bring my surfboard wax to the beach. I always waxed beforehand because the wax would get to soft sitting out in the sun. One day though I was standing there and this Dad and his Grom son came by. They had just bought one of those wooden skimboards that you buy on vacation and the son was falling all over it. They asked if I had any wax. It was heartbreaking to tell them know. This happened two years ago and I still feel bad for not running the 1/2 mile back to the house to get the poor guy some wax. Well, now I can have some wax at the ready in case a friend needs some.

Easy to keep wax in one place on my boat. Fits one standard sticky bumps bar. Lid doubles as scraper and comb. Was a little stiff to open and close at first but now slides easily. Would be a great small gift for a surfer.
